Kerry’s Travel Connoisseurs Cape Town, Okavango Delta, Victoria Falls & Rovos Rail Tour

16 Days

Travel Cape Town Okavango Victoria Falls Blue Train – 2 Cape Town | 3 nights Okavango Delta | 3 nights Chobe River | 2 nights Victoria Falls | 3 nights Rovos Rail | 1 night Pretoria

Dear Kerry

Thank you so very much for arranging a wonderful tour last month. Edgar and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our African Safari trip and really did feel like travel connoisseurs from the very start until we left. To choose a single highlight would not do the entire holiday justice. We loved Cape Town and the cable car trip up Table Mountain was spectacular. The Cape wines and cheeses were top class.

The Okavango Delta lived up to our expectations and Shinde camp exceeded them. The game viewing in this area was fantastic and the sunsets will be remembered forever.

The Zambezi Queen was a stunning cruise and the staff made us all feel so special. Victoria falls was as dramatic as you said it would be and the helicopter trip you suggested ended being an absolute high light. The train trip to Pretoria was amazing. It felt as if Edgar and I were travelling back in time, in a very glamorous fashion I may add.

Thank you for all you efforts in planning our holiday for us. Your suggestions were invaluable and we are so happy that we contacted you. We knew what we were looking for but did not know how to find the various experiences. You certainly interpreted our dream trip perfectly.

Thank you ever so much and we look forward to speaking to you when we return to Africa.

You arrive at Cape Town International Airport in the afternoon. After you have cleared Customs and Immigration formalities you will be met at the International Arrivals lounge by our representative. The remainder of the afternoon is spent at leisure and then dinner is at the hotel restaurant.

You spend three days in Cape Town, and during this time you have a range of private guided tours booked. Your first day will be spent in the Cape Winelands on a Cheese, Wine and Chocolate tour visiting the Faiview Farm, Tokara Wine Estate and Bilton Wine estate.

The next day you are off to tour the Atlantic Seaboard and continue on down the coast to Cape Point. You return via Simonstown and Kalk Bay after a full day of sightseeing.

Go for an afternoon walk with an armed guide for a completely different experience of the African Bushveld.

Opt for an afternoon on the riverboat as your guide takes you into the various channels looking for animals coming to the waters edge to drink and take in the abundant birdlife of the area. Another activity you can do directly from the camp is a Mokoro (dug out canoe) excursion with a tracker that can often get you very close to the game.

After your morning game drive at Shinde Camp you are taken to the Camp airstrip. You board your light aircraft for the direct flight to Kasane in Northern Botswana. You will be met at Kasane Airport by the driver from the Zambezi Queen and taken to the jetty to board this luxury River Boat for three nights and two full days of leisurely cruising along the Chobe River.

These two days are spent on board the five star Zambezi Queen House Boat. Choose to go on a river boat safari or to go bird watching, simply laze around on the viewing deck or do a bit of tiger fishing on the Chobe River.

This is a truly indulgent “House Boat” safari with fine dining and incredible game viewing. Luxury air conditioned suites add to the ultimate river experience available in Africa.

After your morning arrival back at Kasane you will be collected by your driver for the transfer to Victoria Falls. Your driver will assist you to cross the border between Botswana and Zimbabwe ensuring a seamless transit. Arrive in Victoria Falls and check into the beautiful Victoria Falls Hotel.

In the evening you will be collected from your Hotel by the driver from The Boma Restaurant who will take you to the Boma for a night of African cuisine, traditional dancing and story telling.
