The islands in the Indian Ocean are considered the most beautiful, most exotic tropical islands in the world. They have everything that a tropical island should have: turquoise-coloured seas with warm, crystal clear water, white sandy beaches fringed with palm trees and magnificent coral reefs teeming with sea life. And what’s more, they are remote, uncrowded and relatively untouched by commercial tourism.
There are many spectacularly beautiful Indian Ocean islands to choose from: the mystical Seychelles with their giant granite boulders and breath-taking beaches of sugar-white sands; Mauritius, with its lush tropical beauty, glamorous beach resorts and unique blend of Asian, French, African and British cultures; the exotic spice island of Zanzibar with its rich history and aquarmarine waters; and the untouched and remote Mozambican island getaways of Bazaruto, Pemba and the Quirimbas.
An island holiday is perfect for anyone wanting to soak up the sun and relax on the tropical beach of their dreams. It is also ideal for sports enthusiasts, as most resorts have a range of water sports and land-based sports on offer. Snorkelling and diving off the Indian Ocean Islands is unparalleled anywhere in the world. An island holiday is also great for families as all children love the beach, there is always lots to keep them busy and tired parents get a chance to relax in the sun. The Indian Ocean Islands are ideal for a romantic honeymoon or the perfect way to end a safari in Africa.

My love for wildlife, nature, travel and adventure began at a very young age. My parents used to take me to various game reserves within South Africa. I was immediately drawn to our country’s natural beauty and wildlife. I soon fell in love with the idea of travelling. I have been fortunate enough to travel through most of South Africa by road, go on a safari in Kruger, Madikwe, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, relax on the beaches of Zanzibar and explore the United Kingdom.
I decided to take Tourism as a subject in school. This made me realise that Tourism is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! I went on to study Tourism at college with the long term goal of becoming a Tour Consultant. I started at Pembury Tours straight out of college as an admin assistant. I assisted the tour consultants with documents, directions and basic admin. I was soon promoted to the position of Tour Consultant.
I may be young, but I am super-organised. The feeling I get when planning someone’s dream vacation, whether it is for a couple, a group of friends or for a family, cannot be put into words. Interacting with clients, catering for their needs and sharing my experience with the clients are all part of the joy this job brings me!
