The Seychelles is a dazzling array of 115 granite and coral islands lying in the Indian Ocean between the coasts of Africa and India. This archipelago of timeless beauty, tranquillity and harmony is famous for its idyllic beaches. The islands fall under two distinct groups: the tall granite Inner Islands, which cluster mainly within the relatively shallow Seychelles Plateau, and the low-lying coralline cays, atolls and reef islands of the Outer Islands. The principal islands of Mahé, Praslin and La Digue form the cultural and economic hub of Seychelles, as well as the centre of its tourism industry.
Seychelles offers almost clichéd postcard-perfect beaches: exquisite ribbons of palm-fringed white sandy beaches lapped by turquoise waters and backed by lush tropical hills and big granite boulders. This is because they are some of the most photographed beaches in the world and regularly appear on lists of “Top Ten beaches in the World”. As Seychelles is near the equator, it is blessed with a warm tropical climate all year long.
Seychelles is a living museum of natural history and a sanctuary for some of the rarest species of plants and animals on earth. Almost 50% of its limited landmass has been set aside as national parks and reserves, so Seychelles can be justifiably proud of its record for far sighted conservation policies. Nowhere else on earth will you find unique endemic specimens such as the exotic Coco-de-mer, the largest seed in the world, the jellyfish tree, which has only eight surviving examples, the Seychelles’ paradise flycatcher and Seychelles warbler. Seychelles is also home to two World Heritage Sites: Aldabra, the world’s largest raised coral atoll and Praslin’s Vallée de Mai, once believed to be the original site of the Garden of Eden.
There is a wide range of luxurious hotels and exclusive island retreats in Seychelles, most of which offer packages which include many activities and water sports. With 1,400,000 km² of sparkling warm waters and shallow coral reefs, Seychelles offers spectacular and diverse opportunities for snorkelling and scuba diving. Seychelles has some of the richest fishing grounds in the world and you do not have to venture far from the shore to break fishing records. There are many nature trails to introduce hikers to the spectacular and unique natural treasures of these islands.
Few places can rival these “islands of love” for the idyllic ambience of their island-style weddings and honeymoons and it is no wonder that lovers are inspired to take their vows and wed in such a romantic atmosphere.

My passion for travel began at a young age. I was fortunate enough to visit Mozambique when I was 10 years old and I fell in love with Africa and travelling. Not being sure what I wanted to study after leaving school, I decided to travel to Israel and work on a kibbutz. The travel bug bit and for the next 10 years I worked abroad in various countries.
Africa has always been in my heart and I returned home and began working in the travel industry. I have been in the travel industry since 2005. My career started as a travel consultant where I mostly focused on flight bookings and sending South Africans out into the world. After 10 years I was ready for a change and changed the direction of my clients travelling. I now have the privilege of bringing the world to Africa. I began my journey with Pembury Tours in 2015.
I am family-oriented and enjoy a good laugh. My passion is people and travel so putting together an African dream holiday tour is a joy and a blessing!
Since its establishment in 1996, Pembury Tours has emerged as one of the leading tour operators in Southern & Eastern Africa. Our commitment to service, together with our knowledge and absolute passion for Africa, ensures that our clients have memorable, seamless and hassle-free holidays.
