Serengeti National Park – 5 nights Serengeti | 2 nights Victoria Falls | 2 nights Cape Town
Overview
The guide at four seasons was very good.. just the safari experience.. the legendary mobile camp was in a private concession and totally customised which we really loved and will surely return to Africa for. Victoria Falls, we would like to stay on the Zambian side next time but everything else was fun in Zimbabwe. The Four Seasons was one of the best resorts I have stayed in, but we enjoyed the safaris from the legendary expedition camps more. Cape Town was good and we had a relaxing time in between doing some fun touring through the city and around it. We want to do a walk with the gorillas and the ngorongoro crater next year and I will call you then to make arrangements. Many Thanks Heidi for organising.
Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro, you will be met by our rep and be assisted to connect for your schedule flight to Serengeti. Upon arrival at the Ndutu airstrip, you will met by our driver and he will transfer you to your camp situated in the Serengeti National Park arriving in time for lunch. You then depart for an afternoon game drive.
Flying time: Kilimanjaro to Lodge Airstrip – approx. 1½ hours
This enormous park supports every variety of animal imaginable – from large predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah to the smaller herbivores they prey on. More than two million wildebeest, Thompson’s gazelle and zebra gather during the migration, attracting a great deal of attention from their predators such as lion, hyena, cheetah and leopard.
After an early breakfast you will be transferred to Ndutu airstrip with the game drive en-route for your schedule flight to Seronera airstrip. Upon arrival you will be met by the Four Seasons Safari Lodge guide and he will transfer you to the lodge with a game drive en-route arriving in time for lunch. Then later you will have a chance to do the afternoon shared game drive until early evening.
It is here, at certain times of the year, that we may encounter the breathtaking spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration, where one and a quarter million wildebeest trek in columns of up to forty kilometres long in search of grazing, drawing with them their predators and numerous other species of game. From January to March the herds can largely be found in the southern area, proceeding north through the centre and Western Corridor during June and July before splitting to the west and north, continuing their way toward the Mara River. They return south in November to repeat this amazing instinctive procession all over again. It really is a rare privilege to immerse yourself in the unique natural phenomena of this Great Migration.
After breakfast at your camp, you will be transferred back to Ndutu’s airstrip to catch your scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport and upon arrival you will be assisted to your outbound overnight flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival in Johannesburg you make your way to the OR Tambo City Lodge close to the Johannesburg Airport.
Later that morning you make your way back to the airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival in Victoria Falls you are met and transferred to your hotel for your two night stay. There is time this afternoon to view the Falls.

Besides being one of the seven natural wonders of the world and a World Heritage Site, Victoria Falls is the unchallenged adventure capital of Africa with more than 50 activities available.
At 1708 metres wide, Victoria Falls is the most expansive curtain of water in the world and drops more than 100 metres into the sheer Zambezi Gorge. Straddling the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, these Falls and the Zambezi River are the central points in an area of spectacular scenic beauty: from the Falls themselves to the broad, picturesque course of the Zambezi River upstream, the rainforest adjacent and the stark jagged gorge downstream, the power and timelessness of nature’s forces are evident throughout.
The Falls’ local name, Mosi-Oa-Tunya – “the Smoke that Thunders” – more accurately defines the essence of the place: the rising, shining spray that can be seen 30km away. This vapour has the effect of adding moisture in the form of humidity to the air in the “splash zone”, so that a unique, small rainforest ecosystem clings to the edge of the Falls, providing a toehold for no less than 70 shrub and 150 herbaceous species, as well as trees such as pod and Natal mahogany, ebony, Cape and strangler fig and Transvaal red milkwood. There are two National Parks in the vicinity: the Zambezi National Park in Zimbabwe and the Mosi-oa-Tunya Zoological Park in Zambia, which means that herds of big game such as elephant and buffalo, as well as smaller species and even predators such as lion persist in the area.
This morning is at leisure to catch a last glimpse of the Falls, until you are picked up from the hotel and are transferred to Victoria Falls town where you will board a direct flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival at Cape Town airport, you are met by our representative and are transferred to your hotel for a two night stay.
