On arrival in Johannesburg, you are met by our representative, who will assist you through airport formalities to collect your baggage.
The representative will hand over your travel documents and assist you to your hotel near Johannesburg Airport, where you check in for your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you check out of your hotel and make your way on foot from your airport hotel to Johannesburg airport, where you check in for your regional flight to Kasane. Kindly check in for regional flights at least 2 hours prior to departure.
On arrival at Kasane airport in the early afternoon, you are welcomed by a representative from the Chobe Princesses who will assist you with your luggage, and you pass through passport control for Botswana and Namibia. From here you are transferred by boat to the Chobe Princess, where you are briefed on essential safety aspects and induction, followed by either lunch or snacks (depending on your time of arrival) on board. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to settle in and relax on board. Remember to pack sunscreen, a sun hat and comfortable shoes for the boat ride.
You spend 3 nights onboard one of the Chobe Princesses safari boats.
The next few days are spent on one of the Chobe Princess safari houseboats. Moving along the banks of the great Chobe River, the Chobe Princess safari boats offer simple and relaxing accommodation for guests. Unlike a land-based lodge, the Chobe Princess safari boats navigate roughly 25km of the Chobe River, allowing you to explore different vantage points and enjoy unparalleled game viewing. The banks of the Chobe National Park boast one of the densest populations of elephants on the African continent – estimated at approximately 120 000. The Park is also home to large numbers of buffalo, leopard, and lion, along with a variety of antelope and abundant birdlife.
This morning, after breakfast, you are returned to Kasane, once again passing through the border controls. Here you meet with your driver for your transfer by road to the guest lodge in Victoria Falls.
You connect with your daughter and her husband on your arrival in Victoria Falls.
Victoria Falls is the unchallenged adventure capital of Africa, with more than 50 activities available and the next few days are filled with action-packed adventure. At 1708 metres wide, Victoria Falls, at full flow, is the most expansive curtain of water in the world and drops more than 100 metres into the sheer Zambezi Gorge. As one of the most awe-inspiring waterfalls in the world, it is also one of the seven natural wonders of the world and a World Heritage Site.
This morning you enjoy a final activity, a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary. You return to your hotel after the tour to quickly freshen up, collect your luggage and check out of your guest lodge.
Your driver will meet you at reception for your cross-border transfer to Livingstone Airport.
With only a small number of guests per boat and no set itinerary or departure dates, staying in one of the three Chobe Princesses is like being on your very own luxury houseboat. The entire boat can also be booked exclusively, giving you your very own private villa on the water. As you drift down the Chobe River and spot incredible wildlife scenes, you’ll be able to completely relax in an intimate river safari experience.
Each cabin on board the Chobe Princesses is tastefully decorated in a contemporary style, and each has its own private view onto the ever-changing landscapes beyond. As you lie on your king-sized bed, spot an elephant grazing on the riverbank nearby, or see a fish eagle diving for its prey. After a day spent doing as you please, fall asleep with the calls of hyena or even a lion drifting through the open doors of your cabin. Two of the 18-metre Chobe Princesses contain four cabin suites, while the third is slightly larger with five suites. Each cabin sleeps two people – either in a king-sized bed, or in two single beds if you prefer. Along with air-conditioning, cabins are fitted with mosquito-proof windows and en-suite bathrooms with a shower, toilet and basin.
On the upper entertainment deck, a spacious lounge and bar area encourage you to take time out while there’s also a plunge pool that’s perfect for a refreshing dip. This deck also has an open-air dining area where you can enjoy superb seasonal meals prepared by their experienced chefs.
Each houseboat has a minimum of three smaller “tender” boats for use on daily excursions that take your fancy: mark off over 450 bird species found in this wetland paradise, try your hand at landing a tiger fish, or capture Africa’s unique beauty on a photographic safari. Whatever you choose to do, your day trips will be personal and flexible because you’ll be sharing the tender boats with a small number of guests. Alternatively, simply laze on a deck chair with an ice-cold drink in hand as you soak up the tranquillity that surrounds you. As night draws in, enjoy some unforgettable stargazing under a vast African sky.
My parents enjoyed a few days of slow travel on safari on the Chobe River before joining us for the rest of our tour to South Africa, and thoroughly enjoyed the few days relaxing on the river.

It’s our first visit to Safari & South Africa, we were filled with anxieties about safety and reliability of the online tour operator. These worries were all dispelled by Melanie, our tour advisor, who was prompt to answer any of our queries and concerns, giving us all the assurance we needed. Our group of 4 from Singapore had a fantastic 13D12N holiday covering Kruger National Park, Victoria Fall and Capetown. We were very lucky to spot the Big Five animals in the first game drive, it’s so amazing to be just next to the wildlife and see them in their natural habitat. All the hotel and restaurant recommendations were excellent, we experienced the true African hospitality. Special thanks to Melanie!!! Without her superb coordination to every detail, our trip would not be so enjoyable. We will not hesitate to recommend Pembury & Melanie to our friends. Thank you so much Melanie!!!Posted on Google![]()

Excellent Safari & SA Holiday! This is our first safari & South Africa trip and we were skeptical to book tour via online agency initially… but upon interacting with our tour consultant, Melanie, via multiple emails, her prompt responses and helpful information gave us all the assurance we needed. We’re really pleased with Melanie’s service and support over our 13D12N holiday, every detail was thought through and hotel, restaurant recommendations were all very excellent. We’d the most amazing time in Kruger National Park, Victoria Fall and Cape Town. We did have a small hiccup with a local guide in Cape Town, but Melanie was quick to respond and resolve the issue efficiently. We’re truly thankful to have her as our tour consultant, she has made a real difference and dispelled the stress and anxiety tourists may have in traveling to SA. We give Pembury & Melanie’s services 5-star and will not hesitate to recommend friends to travel with them.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

We have just returned from a 3-week adventure across Victoria Falls, Botswana and Cape Town. Pembury Tours were absolutely amazing in their planning, communication and delivery of our trip. All of the lodges and accommodation were excellent, the food was amazing and the wildlife safaris were as good as we could possibly have hoped for. This was our first visit to Africa and obviously our first safari experience, to see rhinos, lions, leopards, elephant, wild dogs and so many antelope and other animals was just incredible. I highly recommend Pembury Tours and Melanie who looked after all our trip details was a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

We loved our trip to Africa Overall our trip arranged by Heidi was terrific. We travelled from Cape Town to the Serengeti. All of our accommodations were great except for our stay in Arusha and Victoria Falls. The Illala Lodge in Victoria Falls was convenient for walking to the falls, but we learned that it was not hard to stay in a more remote spot and shuttle to the falls. The Illala was noisy due to local nightclubs. The sister lodge to Illala named Palm River would have been perfect. The Sheraton in Arusha was not good. You don’t feel comfortable leaving the premises. We learned there are places outside the city that are more guest friendly. Stays in Cape Town, Franschhoek, Sabi Sands and the Serengeti were fantastic. Our trip in total was great and look forward to doing it again.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

I would recommend Pembury Tours to absolutely anyone, and will be using them again for future trips!Posted on Google![]()

Trip of a lifetime! We had a wonderful experience and trip arranged by Tammy at Pembury Tours. She was always very prompt with responses regarding concerns or changes to our itinerary. We were provided with excellent and detailed documentation of every step of our tour, both online and printed. The guided tours that were arranged for us were excellent, both in Victoria Falls and Cape Town. All of our transfers and flights between locations within Africa were punctual and hassle-free. Our itinerary was as follows: 2 nights in Johannesburg - Da Vinci Suites 4 nights in Dulini Lodge in Sabi Sands (near Kruger) - first class lodging with excellent game drives. 1 night in White River (stop over) 2 nights Victoria Falls - Victoria Falls Hotel 3 nights Ngoma Lodge in Chobe - fabulous lodge 2 nights Shinde Lodge in Okavango Delta - a little more rustic but still very nice with great service 3 nights Cape Town - Radisson Blu near V&A WaterfrontPosted on Google![]()

An Unforgettable African Journey We Have just returned from a month long trip which Kerry Ririe from Pembury Tours arranged for our family of 3. Kerry has already sent us on remarkable vacations to South Africa, Botswana and even Zimbabwe. This time Kerry organized another trip of a lifetime with a Self drive through Namibia, stops in South Africa and concluding at the Beaches in Mozambique. Kerry's careful attention to detail and meticulous planning resulted in a fabulous custom itinerary. The many flights, the luxury lodges, the numerous transfers, and even the activities, including the safaris, were flawless. Kerry has been always extremely patient to all my requests and questions which she continually answered very quickly. In fact Kerry was even available throughout our trip. Very minor glitches were immediately and easily resolved by Kerry! Kerry's advice and recommendations and attention to details, were outstanding. Finally Kerry included The Travel Portal and even a paper copy of our itinerary - both very helpful. Of course I highly recommend Kerry and Pembury Tours. Thank you Kerry and already looking forward to our next trip planned by you! MichaelPosted on Tripadvisor![]()

Excellent Agent Makes Excellent Trip! Our travel agent, Anya, made this an absolutely wonderful trip. From the very beginning, she put a great deal of thought into planning our itinerary, and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. Every destination matched her descriptions remarkably well. The information she provided was accurate and detailed, so we knew exactly what to expect at each stop. Thanks to her careful planning, we truly had an amazing experience. To be honest, we did have some concerns at first. We booked our trip very early—about seven or eight months in advance. During that time, Anya was away several times, either on personal vacations or work trips. There seemed no back up person in her absence. However, once our trip began, Anya was on top of everything every single minute. We encountered several unexpected challenges along the way. Flight delays caused us to miss a connection, so we had to rebook flights, adjust our itinerary. Throughout it all, Anya remained calm, responsive, and incredibly efficient. She immediately took care of every issue and continuously followed up with us during the trip, including helping us find last-minute accommodations, rearrange transportation, deal with lost luggage. She is truly an outstanding travel agent. Even after our trip ended, she continued to provide exceptional support by helping us gather the necessary documents and assisting with our travel insurance claim. Her dedication and professionalism went far beyond our expectations, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring travel advisor.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Perfection I decided to use Pembury Tours to book our trip to Africa as I thought it would be good to use a local agent rather than booking a group tour from Australia. We are so glad that we did. Everything went smoothly. Every transfer perfect. Even getting through customs in Zimbabwe went perfectly. We had the most amazing African adventure and I owe it all to Tammy at Pembury Tours. Her planning was impeccable. Tammy also worked within our limited budget and nothing was a trouble. Tammy’s responses and many emails were prompt and meant we felt comfortable using an agent so far away. I cannot recommend this company high enough.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

i just returned from an incredible 11 night holiday in Africa and i cnanot recommend this agency enough! Especially Heidi, our travel consultant! My journey with Pembury Tours started almost a year ago when I first approached them upon a recommendation from a good friend. From the first point of contact with Heidi, she was incredibly helpful and patient. Even when we wanted to make changes to the itinerary along the way, nothing was ever too much trouble. The level of detail they provided in the documents given to us was amazing. even down to practical advice on things like tipping etiquette which helped us a lot on the trip. They handled everything for us, from domestic flights and land transfers to accommodations and day tours. When we encountered an issue with our last accommodation on a Saturday evening, I called Heidi and despite it being the weekend, she resolved everything in a couple of minutes. If you want a stress free and curated vacation, I'd highly recommend Pempury Tours! Especially Heidi! I will definitely be recommending this to any friends traveling to Africa!Posted on Google![]()

Great itinerary, perfect execution and timely communication I was traveling to South Africa for work, and was looking to extend the trip to do safari in Kruger National Park. I had never been to Africa before, and had no idea what to expect. Tammy Harding from Pembury created an itinerary that included lodging in two different private reserves in Greater Kruger National Park. The choice of the two private reserves was ideal, which I could appreciate only after the completion of our trip as this was my first visit to the African continent. All the arrangements were fantastic (airport pickups, lodgings), and communication prompt and timely. Tammy's guidance on local weather conditions at the time of our visit, necessary vaccination (none for our case as our travel was restricted to South Africa) and corresponding packing list was spot on. Thanks, and for my next trip with family, i will definitely go to the team at Pembury.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Beyond words This was the trip of a lifetime and Gail with Pembury Tours didn’t miss a single detail. We had so many amazing experiences but she also had just the perfect amount of down time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We had the best guides and our accommodations were spectacular. The Perfect Vacation to South Africa Gail with Pembury Tours was the perfect travel agent for our first trip to South Africa. Our accommodations in Sabi Sands were perfect as well as our other 3 locations. Even making a last-minute change on our last location due to weather conditions. The 3 domestic flights that she arranged with private transportation made our trip so easy. Our private tours were with professional individuals that truly loved their jobs.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Thank you again Anya Anya from Pembury Tours planned a perfect 9 day trip to Botswana ( Delta) and Zambia for my wife and I with the perfect mix of 3 luxury lodges that complimented each other nicely. Land based lodge followed by a water/ island lodge and wrapped up with the fantastic Mukwa River lodge right on the mighty Zambezi river bank. The trip all went to plan with the organised assistance at the various airports certainly appreciated. Her communication was always timely and clear in the lead up and we would certainly recommend her and her organisation to others.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Perfect in Every Way Perfect in Every Way! 5/5 Anya, at Pembery Tours, planned a three week holiday in South Africa. From our initial contact, Anya listened carefully to our desires and dreams for this once-in-lifetime tour. Since we had never visited SA or done a safari before, we had a ton of questions and were quite daunted by the process. Anya’s experience touring herself, as well as years of planning for others, cut through the confusion easily and we were soon presented with some amazing tour options. And these weren’t cookie cutter tours, but ones that included some less common options, especially Swartland, a newer and less visited wine region that my husband had been reading about. Anya reached out to wineries that don’t often accept visitors and other desired experiences, such as a visit with some specialized nonprofits in Cape Town - every request we made was met with a helpful and enthusiastic response. We loved EVERYTHING about our trip and, upon reflection since we have been home, would not change a thing. The itinerary, the two safaris, the hotels, the flights, the restaurant recommendations…. all top-notch. I could go on and on… A final comment - Pembery works with great partners. Our many drivers and guides were so knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and fun. We learned so much from each of them and and they made each day memorable and rich. We left SA considering them as friends. If you are like us, wanting a memorable experience but confused about how to make it happen, or even if you have done this before but want some expert advice, contact Anya. Anya and Pembery tours are the Gold Standard of African travel!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

A great trip arranged by Tammy from Pembury Tours We have just returned from a terrific two week trip to South Africa arranged for us by Tammy from Pembury Tours. During the planning process Tammy was extremely patient and helpful in responding to our numerous questions and giving advice on where to stay and what to do. From arriving in Cape Town, taking the garden route to Knysna, St Francis Bay, Pemba game reserve and flying back to Franschhoek. Everything went like clockwork and was as promised. Tammy remained extremely helpful all through our trip and seemed genuinely interested in how things were going. We never felt like we were just another customer. Tammy even arranged a doctor’s appointment for my wife immediately we asked for some advice. The travel portal was a great asset for everything to do with the trip and we used it virtually every day. Pembury had also arranged for a paper copy of everything to be given to us by our transfer driver when we arrived in Cape Town. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tammy and Pembury Tours if you were thinking of a South Africa trip.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Excellent tour operator delivering seamless, stress-free travel We had an absolutely brilliant trip to South Africa, and I can’t recommend (Tammy from) Pembury Tours highly enough. From the very beginning, the advice and planning were outstanding and the entire holiday was put together seamlessly - from flights, to hotels, to the hire car and everything in between. The whole experience from the safari to the drive along the beautiful Garden Route was unforgettable. Every hotel we stayed in was unique, welcoming, and exceptional. It honestly felt like each stop could have been a destination in itself. Throughout the trip everything ran smoothly and all the information provided beforehand made things incredibly easy for us. A real highlight was the Travel Portal which beautifully documented every part of the trip. It contained everything we needed in one place, along with a wealth of useful information about South Africa - from safety advice, to tipping guidance, and suggestions for activities and attractions. What really stood out was how stress-free the entire experience was. All the hard work had clearly been taken care of, which meant we could simply relax and enjoy every moment. It was a truly memorable trip from start to finish, and we would not hesitate to recommend them.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Each destination was unique and unforgettable, and the seamless transitions between locations made the entire journey stress-free and enjoyable. Gail truly went above and beyond in every aspect of the planning. Her attention to detail, care, and dedication ensured that our honeymoon exceeded all expectations. The absolute best service Susan was recommended to us by a friend of a friend, and I am *so* grateful she was! We were planning a trip to South Africa, and were overwhelmed by choices and really unsure how to choose between them. Susan gave us excellent advice and made some superb recommendations, from which we picked Umlani Bush Camp from the Timbavati reserve. Susan took care of all the arrangements, and sent us a super useful itinerary and travel guide, which we relied upon heavily throughout our South African adventure. She also helped us find a hotel in Johannesburg and gave us really good advice about building our itinerary there. We had the most magical four nights at Umlani. It was everything Susan had said, and more. And she was available on email and WhatsApp throughout the period leading up to our stay and during it. We were confident that we were well informed, well supported and enthusiastically cared for. Susan helped us build a really special holiday, the memories of which will last a lifetime.I would not hesitate to recommend Susan to anyone wanting to book a safari - or indeed any element of a holiday in South Africa.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

South Africa We are grateful to Anya and her Pembury team for planning our fantastic South African Tour. We miss South Africa already. All of the arrangements Anya made for the tour were spot on from the greetings and transfers from the airports, the hotels, tours and activities. Every aspect progressed smoothly in a professional, friendly and timely matter. Anya took our requests seriously including the pace of the trip, the choice and location of the hotels and the activities. The restaurants and hotels were genuinely happy to share our anniversary with us which made the visits even more special. We have a better understanding of the beauty of South Africa, its people, its animal treasures and especially its food as we tried lots and lots of food. The safari at Seti exceeded our expectations as we saw the big 5. Planned activities at Victoria Falls, Sabi Sabi, Cape Town and Franschhoek were all memorable and highly enjoyed. We cannot recommend Anya and Pembury Tours enough.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

AMAZING!! trip to Southern Africa organized by Kerry Ririe of Pembury Tours Our visit to southern Africa was, in a word, AMAZING. Thank you so much Kerry for working with us to design a fabulous custom itinerary. Travelling between 7 different locations in 4 countries in a 3 week trip we're sure was a logistical challenge. We could appreciate the complexities of arranging all the local flights, road transfers, personal guide excursions, border crossings, site-seeing activities, safari destinations, the river cruise and fabulous accommodations everywhere. You did an amazing job coordinating every step of our journey as everything went unbelievably smoothly. We were so fortunate to be introduced to Pembury tours, and Kerry, your personal efforts putting the trip together with us were exceptional. Having no experience organizing a trip to a continent we knew nothing about, we appreciated the dialogue we had with you exploring the many options available. You clearly listened well to what we wanted from the trip and you made very good recommendations that enhanced our experience. Thank you!!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

I am one of the owners of Pembury Tours and set up the company in 1996 with my husband shortly after our return from a 6-year stay in the United Kingdom, during which time I worked in London and also did a Master’s Degree in Linguistics at Cambridge University.
My principal function at Pembury Tours is ensuring that we maintain a consistently high standard of work. This means I work very closely with my tour consultants as well as my administration staff. I do manage to spend about half my time tour consulting; however, something that I really enjoy! I love the challenge of compiling an itinerary for clients that meets all the criteria they have given me. My love of wildlife means that I especially enjoy working on safari itineraries, but I also like drawing up itineraries that include a “bit of everything” for first-time visitors – Cape Town, beaches, game viewing, African culture and historical insight. As a mother of young adults, I know the importance of looking for more adventurous activities that will keep them entertained and ensure a great family holiday. I am extremely well-travelled and particularly enjoy using my knowledge of travel to put together complex itineraries for discerning travellers.
My favourite safari is definitely the Okavango Delta in Botswana. It truly is one of Africa’s last wildernesses. And my favourite safari memory? It has to be my first time on a mokoro dugout canoe. The slow pace, the utter silence other than the gurgling of water under the canoe and the swish-splash of the guide’s pole, a giant Saddle-billed Stork taking off literally right over my head, the tiny brightly coloured Painted Reed Frog clinging to a papyrus reed, the fat carpenter bee collecting pollen from a water lily, the evocative call of the Fish Eagle, and then coming around a bend to see a family of elephants crossing the stream in front of me, with a tiny little calf being helped through the water by its mother and sisters. It was magical. And made me realise that slow and quiet is just as meaningful as fast and exciting.
I am so proud that Pembury Tours is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and even prouder of our consistent 5-star review status, something that makes us one of the top-rated tour operators in Africa. I could not pick a better team!

I first joined Pembury Tours as Personal Assistant to the MD back in November 2004, on a mornings-only basis — a role that quickly grew into a full-time position. That time gave me invaluable behind-the-scenes insight into how our tour consultants support clients every day.
After a short break in 2014, I couldn’t stay away for long and returned in 2016 as a consultant based at our offices in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha.
I love the process of organising: researching destinations, building itineraries, and handling every detail of a client’s arrangements. But just as importantly, it’s about getting to know my clients from our very first conversation, so the holiday we create truly reflects what they’re looking for.
Alongside my administrative background, I’ve also studied tour guiding, which gave me a solid grounding in local history and key sights — knowledge I draw on regularly when planning tours. These days, I specialise in tailor-made journeys through Southern Africa & East Africa. And there’s nothing quite like hearing from clients after their trip, sharing the highlights that made it unforgettable.
My favourite African landscape? Namibia, hands down. Standing atop the burnt-orange dunes of Sossusvlei one day, then watching herds shimmer across the blinding white salt pans of Etosha the next — that contrast still gives me chills. It’s this kind of first-hand experience that shapes every itinerary I build for my clients.

My passion for travel began at a young age when I was fortunate enough to visit Mozambique at just 10 years old. That experience sparked a lifelong love for Africa and exploring the world. After leaving school, unsure of which career path to pursue, I travelled to Israel to work on a kibbutz. It was there that the travel bug truly took hold, leading me to spend the next decade living and working in various countries around the world.
With Africa always close to my heart, I returned home and began my career in the travel industry in 2005. Since then, I have had the privilege of sharing the beauty and diversity of Africa with travellers from across the globe. I joined Pembury Tours in 2016, where I continue to create unforgettable African journeys tailored to each client’s dreams and interests.
My favourite travel experiences include the breathtaking Victoria Falls, where the sheer magnitude and power of the Falls never fail to impress, and the unforgettable Kruger safari, offering incredible wildlife encounters in one of Africa’s most iconic game reserves. These destinations perfectly capture the beauty and adventure that make Southern Africa so special.
I am family-oriented, enjoy a good laugh, and genuinely love connecting with people. Combining my passion for travel with helping others experience the magic of Africa is both a joy and a privilege, and I take great pride in crafting memorable, once-in-a-lifetime holidays.

My journey with Pembury Tours began in late 2015 as an Administrative Assistant. My love for travel led me to study Tourism at school and later at college, where I knew I had found my calling. My long-term goal was to become a Tour Consultant, so supporting the consulting team and learning every aspect of the business gave me invaluable experience. I was proud to progress into the role of Tour Consultant, and it truly was a dream come true.
My passion for wildlife, nature, travel, and adventure began at a young age. Growing up, my parents regularly took me to game reserves across South Africa, where I developed a deep appreciation for our country’s incredible landscapes and wildlife. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong love for travel and exploration that continues to inspire me today.
Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to experience many of Southern and East Africa’s most iconic destinations. From road-tripping through South Africa and enjoying unforgettable safaris in the Kruger National Park, Madikwe Game Reserve, the Lower Zambezi, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater, to unwinding on the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar and exploring the United Kingdom and Croatia, every journey has strengthened my passion for the travel industry.
There is nothing more rewarding than helping clients plan their dream holiday—whether it’s a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or a once-in-a-lifetime African safari. I love getting to know each client, understanding their unique travel aspirations, and creating tailor-made experiences that exceed expectations. For me, travel is about more than just visiting a destination—it’s about creating unforgettable memories, discovering new perspectives, and experiencing the magic that makes every journey unique. Being able to share my passion and knowledge with clients and help bring their travel dreams to life is what makes this career so fulfilling.
My favourite Safari Destination: Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia.

20+ years with Pembury Tours and counting… and I still get excited about Africa!
I started my journey in the safari world more than two decades ago, and honestly? I never fell out of love with it. If anything, the more I travel, the more I appreciate just how special this part of the world is. There’s something about being out in the bush, surrounded by nature, watching animals in their natural environment and never quite knowing what you might see around the next corner.
These days, I’m a Tour Consultant at Pembury Tours, helping clients from all over the world plan their own African adventures. I love getting to know what makes each traveller tick and then putting together an itinerary that feels like their trip, rather than simply ticking off a list of places.
Outside of work, I’m a farmer’s wife and a mom to two daughters, so life is usually a happy mix of family, farm life, school runs and trying to keep everything running smoothly! Whenever I get the chance, though, my favourite escape is heading into the bush with my family and friends. It’s where I switch off, breathe a little deeper and remember just how lucky we are to call this incredible continent home.
And if you ask me about animals, be prepared… I can probably talk your ear off! Elephants have always been my absolute favourite. There’s something about their intelligence, family bonds and sheer presence that never gets old. I could happily spend hours watching a herd simply go about their day.
After so many years in the travel industry, I’ve learnt that the best trips aren’t necessarily about seeing everything — they’re about finding the right places, having those special experiences and giving yourself time to really enjoy them.
Whether you’re planning your very first safari, returning to Africa for the fifth time, or simply dreaming about your next adventure, I’m here to help make the planning easy, personal and stress-free. My goal is to share the Africa I love with you and create a journey filled with wonderful memories, incredible wildlife and those little moments you’ll still be talking about long after you’ve arrived home.
I’d love to help you discover it for yourself.

Twenty years ago, I joined Pembury Tours as a young, single travel consultant with a passion for Africa. Since then, life has taken me on an incredible journey of its own, and I am now happily married with two wonderful children. One thing that has never changed is my love for creating unforgettable travel experiences.
There is something incredibly rewarding about playing a small part in what is often a once-in-a-lifetime journey for our guests. I enjoy getting to know each traveller, understanding what makes their dream holiday unique, and carefully crafting an itinerary that is perfectly suited to them. My goal is always to ensure every detail is thoughtfully planned so that clients can simply relax and enjoy every moment of their adventure.
For me, a safari is the highlight of any trip. No matter how many I experience, the excitement never fades. Hippos and hyenas have always been among my favourite animals to spot, and every sighting feels special. More recently, I have found myself equally captivated by the smaller wonders of the bush. One particularly special moment on a recent safari was discovering hundreds of butterflies tucked away in the trees, quietly sleeping after sunset. It was a beautiful reminder that Africa’s magic is found not only in its iconic wildlife, but also in the extraordinary details that often go unnoticed.

Travel has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I have been incredibly fortunate to turn that passion into a career. I have been involved in the hotel and tourism industry since 1990, and have been part of the Pembury Tours family for 20 years! How awesome is that!
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in some wonderful hotels and lodges across South Africa and beyond, and to experience many of the incredible destinations that Africa has to offer. I have also been lucky enough to live and work in different parts of the world, which has given me a wonderful appreciation for different cultures, people and ways of life.
Having spent many years living in game reserves, my love for the African bush and wildlife is something that has never left me. Safari remains a huge passion of mine, and there is still nothing quite like being out in the bush and sharing that experience with others.
What I love most about my work is the people. Building relationships, getting to know my clients and understanding what they are looking for means I can create journeys that are not just about seeing the sights, but about experiencing Africa in a really special and personal way.
After all these years, I still feel incredibly lucky to have turned my love of travel into a career. I get to work with wonderful people, explore incredible places and, best of all, help others experience the magic of Africa.
And after all these years in tourism, I’m still not tired of safari… although I’m pretty sure the bush has become slightly more addictive over the years! My favourite safari destination? I love the bush, but Sabi Sand and the Greater Kruger area are just fantastic for safari. The incredible wildlife, landscapes and truly special safari experiences keep drawing me back. And my favourite safari memory? Watching what started as one or two elephants walking over the top of a hill and then realising the herd was more than two, and the elephants just kept coming! Before long, there were around 60 elephants making their way over and down the hill. It was one of those magical safari moments, and I could have watched it forever.
