Mont Rochelle is a stunning 22-bedroom hotel and vineyard, just 2 km from the town of Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands. Mont Rochelle is owned by Sir Richard Branson.
Each of the 16 bedrooms and 6 suites are individually decorated, creating a unique ambience. En suite bathrooms, telephones, televisions, safes, under-floor heating, air-conditioning and in-room refreshment facilities are amongst the facilities of each room.
Most rooms offer spectacular views across the valleys and vines of Franschhoek. There are four Shiraz Rooms with king-size beds and all feature courtyard or valley views. The six Merlot Rooms are larger than the Shiraz Rooms and also boast king-size beds with valley views. The six Cabernet Rooms are located in the Vineyard Wing and all include a private terrace overlooking the valley. There are four spacious Pinotage Suites located in both the Manor House and Garden House, each of which features a separate lounge and fantastic views. Guests staying in the two largest rooms, the Cap Classique Suites, will enjoy a separate lounge area, a private terrace and their own plunge pool. Both suites are in the Vineyard Wing.
There are two restaurants at Mont Rochelle. The Country Kitchen joins up to the wine cellar and is an ideal place for a light lunch in the sunshine or a relaxed dinner. The main restaurant, Miko, is the setting for some fantastic gourmet meals. Start the evening off with a refreshing cocktail from the bar and find a comfy space on the terrace to watch the sunset. Facilities at the hotel include a gym, a spa offering a range of health and beauty treatments, a jacuzzi, a sauna, an outdoor swimming pool, mountain bikes and horse riding.
